Any HDD should work. I've used an 80GB Segate, a 160GB Hitachi and I'm currently using another 320GB Seagate with no issue. IMO the only HDD brand you should avoid is Samsung, not only for your PS2 but at all. BTW, Remember using HD Loader 48bit for drives over 160GB.
