I have caught many pokemon with just a normal pokeball and I feel the need to let you know, with any pokeball you use, with the exception of the master ball, there is always a chance for the pokemon to break out. Just be aware, if you want a higher chance of catching a pokemon, use an ultra ball or a specialized ball.
