The only way to get those items to appear in your new game is by linking all the accounts. You need to go to the “Link Accounts” page on your Blizzard account and connect all the accounts where you made any in-game purchases. Once all the accounts are linked, the items should start appearing in your Overwatch 2 game.
You'll be able to merge your Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2 accounts to make sure you take advantage of the new game's cross-progression system. Overwatch 2's cross-progression mechanics allow you to continue unlocking new items and improving your ratings no matter what platform you play on.
The short and sweet answer is yes, Overwatch Skins do indeed transfer to Overwatch 2. All your Overwatch cosmetics, Skins, Sprays, Voice Lines, Victory Poses, Highlight Intros, and Icons will carry over into Overwatch 2.
All currently owned skins from the original Overwatch should transfer across using the merging method listed above, meaning that regardless of which platform you purchased a particular skin on, should you link that platform account to Battle.net for Overwatch 2, those cosmetics will be available once the merger is ...
All you need to do is to create a Battle.net account and confirm your account in Overwatch 2 game to easily merge the item of the previous account to the new Overwatch 2.
Click on your name in the top right corner and select Account Settings from the drop-down list. Select Connections from the list on the left. This is where you can connect and merge your console accounts. Choose the platform you want to connect to your Battle.net account and select +Connect.
Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play, always-on, and ever-evolving live game. Team up with friends regardless of platform and jump into the reimagined PvP experience.
You may be wondering: “are all my Overwatch skins gone?” Thankfully, Blizzard says the answer to that is a resounding “no.” (Winston players could be forgiven for saying “all my ape skins gone.” Just this one time.)
In the previous games, players had the chance to earn these skins via loot boxes (or the currency that dropped in them). Since its sequel and the removal of loot boxes, they are now only available via currency bought from real money.
Yes. The news was confirmed by Blizzard in a Reddit AMA with game director Aaron Keller earlier this year. “When OW2 launches on Oct 4th it will be a replacement for the current Live Service.”
Overwatch 2 will be free to play, but you have to pay your way into the original Overwatch. Unfortunately, you can no longer buy vanilla Overwatch from the Battle.net store.
Many players are not able to merge their Overwatch 1 and 2 accounts. The issue is caused by database overloads and a UI bug. Players can try restarting the game or logging in and out of their accounts. Linking the console to your account may also solve the problem.
For PC players, progress will automatically carry over into Overwatch 2, and you have the option to merge any console accounts to your battle.net account. If you don't confirm your account merge in-game, you will continue to be served an in-game screen that identifies your accounts and prompts approval to merge.
Kiriko is locked to Tier 55 of the free track for new players, while Premium Battle Pass owners unlock her instantly. However, if you played Overwatch 1 then she's instantly unlocked for you via the Founder's Pack.
If you click trade, you select a hero, and can scroll through skins on a left/right scale and select what you want to trade for (this is with people who have selected your skin as something they want).
Why are my Overwatch 2 heroes locked even though I had Overwatch 1?
To attempt to get around this, you'll need to close Overwatch 2 and relaunch it, relogging you into the game. This should fix the problem, but if it doesn't, you'll need to keep restarting the game until it works.
If you owned Overwatch prior to June 23, 2022 you will have received the Founder's Pack, not a free Battle Pass. You can check out what's included in the Founder's Pack here.
For starters, anyone who owns the original Overwatch will receive Kiriko through their Founder's Pack. To qualify for the Founder's Pack you must have owned a copy of Overwatch prior to June 23, 2022.
More details here. Overwatch 1 players will have access to all the skins, voice lines and other cosmetics they unlocked in the original game. They will also get access to new Support hero Kiriko immediately.
The original Overwatch will shut down ahead of the Overwatch 2 release. We've known for a while now that Overwatch 2 will debut on October 4 and replace the original game entirely. Now, Blizzard has revealed that the switch won't happen instantly — it will kill off Overwatch a while before Overwatch 2 goes live.
