Today, we're thrilled to announce that the EA app has officially left its open beta phase and will soon replace Origin as our primary PC platform.

Is EA Desktop replacing Origin?

Although it was initially going to be called EA Desktop, the Desktop part of the name has been dropped. This week the EA app left its open beta and will now quickly replace Origin on PC.

Open the Control Panel (find it by searching Control Panel in the Start menu). Under Programs, click Uninstall a program. Click on the EA app and uninstall. Reinstall the EA app, then try installing your game again.
