Origin is a digital distribution platform developed by Electronic Arts for purchasing and playing video games. In October 2022, Origin ceased operations for its Windows platform, directing players to EA Play. The Mac and mobile versions remain online.

What is EA Access called now?

As previously mentioned, it adds access to brand new games as they are released in the shops, not just time-limited versions. They are often available earlier than the general release date too. EA Play Pro costs £14.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 per month or £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 annually.

Will I lose my games if I cancel EA Access?

If you cancel, you'll lose all EA Play benefits (access to the Play List, you won't continue to accumulate in-game member rewards, etc.)

Is EA servers shutting down?

While EA has confirmed that players will still be able to enjoy these titles' single-player components, the online servers for these games will be shut down completely in 2023.

Why is EA shutting down Origin?

To streamline branding, EA renamed both EA Access and Origin Access both to EA Play, with the Origin Access Premier named to EA Play Pro. In September 2020, EA announced it plans to retire Origin in favor for a new desktop client that will support the new EA Play and EA Play Pro subscriptions.

Why are my EA games gone?

Check the order status for your purchase. If it's still processing, you'll get your game when it's completed. If your order is not showing, then you may have bought the game on another account. Try logging in to the EA Account Settings portal with other email addresses you may have used instead.
