Flamin’ Cheepoof

You’ll see a less fiery version of this aerial and evasive critter in the desert.

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Hopefully, you’re patient because Flamin’ Cheepoofs are no easy catch. Found in lava-filled caves, these Cheepoofs need to be knocked to the ground with a Trip Shot. Before you do that, though, find something icy (like a Paletoss Grande) and lure it to the area. Then, follow the Flamin’ Cheepoof’s path and set up the wire to ground it. When the icy Bugsnak cools it down, run over and grab it with your net.

Fruity Snakpod

This stationary Bugsnak is hidden all over Boiling Bay.

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: You just need a keen eye to find this little guy. Once located, run up to it and grab it or use your Snak Grappler if it’s out of reach.

Golden Kweeble

Shimmery and glimmery, the Golden Kweeble is much like its duller companion, the Kweeble.

Favorite Food: Chocolate

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: All you need is chocolate and a Snak Trap for this unusual Bugsnak. Set your trap and place chocolate near it to attract the Golden Kweeble. Activate it at the right moment, and the Kweeble is all yours!

Grapeskeeto

Big, puffy, and purple, the Grapeskeeto loves itself some SNaks.

Favorite Food: Chocolate

Most Active Time of Day: 4 pm to 4 am

Best Way to Catch: You’ll need to sacrifice another Bugsnak to add this one to your collection. Find something nearby and cover it with chocolate. Just after the Grapeskeeto dines, it will be dazed. Break out your net and grab it.

Greater Cocomite

This creative Bugsnak often works with Lesser Cocomites to take down threats.

Favorite Food: Chocolate

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Look out for palm trees to locate both Greater and Lesser Cocomites, found in pairs. First, use the Snak Grappler and shake the tree up. You’ll need to pick up and throw the Bugsnak to split it into two. To stun the Greater Cocomite, use your Trip Shot and set a wire near some chocolate. Grab it with your net when it’s stunned.

Green Crapple

These sweet treats love to stay underwater, but the right snak can draw it to the surface.

Favorite Food: Chocolate, Peanut Butter

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Once you spot a Crapple, sling some chocolate or peanut butter nearby. Quicky set up a Snak Trap, because it will scurry over for a taste. Once it’s near the trap, activate it to add the Green Crapple to your collection.

La Sodieux

You’ll need to scour the ocean floors off Snaktooth Island for this watery creature.

Hates: Cheese, Chocolate, Fire, Hot Sauce

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: La Sodieux hates a lot of things, and you can use this to your advantage. Set up a trap around the water’s edge, then slather it with cheese, chocolate, or hot sauce. La Sodieux will rush towards the sauce, giving you the opportunity to snag it in the trap! If La Sodieux is too fast for you, try using an aggressive Snak. Cover it with sauce, and La Sodieux will become stunned while attacking it.

Lesser Cocomite

Often found with Greater Cocomites, this version isn’t quite as grand.

Favorite Food: Chocolate

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Remember what you did to grab the Greater Cocomite? Well, when you were doing that, you should have grabbed the Lesser Cocomite, too! If not, repeat the steps of finding a palm tree, shaking said tree, and throwing the Cocomite that falls to the ground.

Megamaki (Legendary)

A behemoth of the skies, this monstrosity will take some work to bring down!

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: This will take a little time and requires the Wiggle in Boiling Bay side quest. As you follow Wiggle, listening to her summoning song, the Legendary Bugsnak will rise from the ocean. Break out your Trip Shot and set wires between the two rods that broke the ocean’s surface. If placed correctly, you’ll knock Minimaki off the Megamaki’s body. Grab them quick, or they’ll return to their leader.

Repeat this process until just the Megamaki head is all that’s left, then use your net to grab it.

Minimaki

Part of the Legendary Megamaki, these little guys will go into a craze when separated from their leader.

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: To grab one of these guys, you’ll need to take on the Legendary Megamaki. Follow the guide above, as you’re guaranteed to nab quite a few of them!

Noodler

The long-legged Bugsnak loves its lava. That may become problematic when trying to grab it.

Favorite Food: Cheese, Hot Sauce

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: To scoop up a Noodler, you need to cool it down a bit. Find a nearby Paletoss and use hot sauce to lead it to the icy Bugsnak. The two will collide, causing the Noodler to become dizzy and susceptible to your net.

Paletoss

A small but icy cold Bugsnak with a lot of heart!

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Grabbing one of these guys means finding a Paletoss Grande. You’ll need to break the large Paletoss into a smaller critter, which can be done by using a Noodler, covering it in hot sauce, or bringing it to lava. When the Paleteoss Grande is on fire, let the counter reach zero for it to split in half. The two halves will stagger, giving you time to grab the lesser Paletoss.

Paletoss Grande

A frozen treat that’s useful against hot and spicy Bugsnax.

Favorite Food: N/A

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: See the above guide to find a way to make this Bugsnak hot. However, before you heat things up, set up a Trip Wire that the Paletoss Grande will run into. Put your plan into effect and be sure it hits the wire before the timer reaches zero. Once it’s stunned, grab it.

Red Banopper

Keep your eyes to the trees to spot this red Snak.

Favorite Food: Chocolate, Peanut Butter

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: With your Trip Shot equipped, find a Red Banopper and follow its path. When you know which trees it will bounce between, set a Trip Wire between them. The Red Banopper will hit the wire, fall to the ground, and be ready for capture!

Sherbie

Sweet and delightful, the Sherbie is a subterranean Bugsnak that just needs a little coaxing.

Favorite Food: Chocolate

Most Active Time of Day: All day

Best Way to Catch: Though the Sherbie drills into the sand, waiting to strike its foes, you can draw it out with some chocolate. Find lava near its path and toss some chocolate on the ground. The Sherbie will catch fire and become stunned, opening the window for you to snag it.
