Everything ends. In the realm of role-playing games, often they end in multiple ways. Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t deviate from this concept and offers players a variety of conclusions to V and Johnny Silverhand’s epic journey.

When you reach the “Nocturne Op55N1” mission, you know you’ve reached the point of no return. It’s here where you unknowingly decide which ending you’ll receive. Sometimes, it can be frustrating to score the “Bad” conclusion when you were gunning for the best and most exciting end to the game’s narrative. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to all of Cyberpunk 2077’s endings.

Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the four main and super-secret endings, including the requirements needed to achieve them. It’s important to note that most endings have a final choice that determines which of the following epilogues you’ll see.  Of course, we’re heading into spoiler territory!

  • Where is My Mind
    • After avenging Saburo Araska, V can decide to have their mind archived or return to Earth and eventually die.
  • All Along the Watchtower
    • Johnny Silverhand is erased from V’s memory, leaving V to live out the rest of their (short) life with the Nomads and Panam.
  • New Dawn Fades
    • V is trapped in cyberspace for eternity while Johnny Silverhand parades around in their body.
  • Path of Glory
    • Johnny Silverhand becomes trapped in cyberspace, leaving V to become a legend in Night City and live out the remainder of their life without impedance.

Putting an End to Cyberpunk 2077

The following are the ending scenarios available to players, including some information on how to unlock them.

Trust Arasaka

How to Unlock:

  • Available by default
  • During “Nocturne Op55N1,” choose:
    • “Think trusting Arasaka’s risky but worth it” à “[Take Omega Blockers]
  • Complete “Last Caress,” “Totalimmortal,” and “Where is My Mind?” missions

Available Epilogues: Where is My Mind

Consider this the default ending to Cyberpunk 2077. No matter what you do throughout the game, who you romance, and which characters you’re closest to, you’ll always have the option to trust the Arasaka Corporation. Johnny isn’t too happy about it, but after popping a few Omega Blockers, V will team up with Hanako.

At the close of this ending, V will find themselves on an Arasaka orbital station, facing a very difficult decision – Return to Earth and die within months or join Arasaka’s “Secure Your Soul” program to create an engram of their mind.

Work with Panam

How to Unlock:

  • Complete the Panam Palmer arc
  • During “Nocturne Op55N1,” choose:
    • “Call Panam” à “Just need a minute” à “Somethin’… I gotta do today” à “Gonna ask Panam for help” à “[Take Omega Blockers]”
  • Complete “We Gotta Live Together,” “Forward to Death,” and “Belly of the Beast” missions

Available Epilogues: All Along the Watchtower or New Dawn Fades

If you completed all of Panam Palmer’s arc throughout Cyberpunk 2077, this option will open up. If you want a happy ending for V, this is as close as you’re going to get. V calls in an assist from Panam, who happily helps break into the Arasaka Tower.

At the ending of this arc, V will have two choices – Let Johnny thrive in their body or kick the specter into cyberspace and enjoy life with Panam and the Nomads. The latter, the “All Along the Watchtower” epilogue, is among the happiest endings for V.

Work with Johnny and Rogue

How to Unlock:

  • Complete Rogue’s questline
  • During “Nocturne Op55N1,” choose:
    • “Think you and Rogue should go” à “Take Pseudoendotrizine”
  • Complete “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” missions

Available Epilogues: New Dawn Fades or Path of Glory

It’s not ideal entrusting your life to the apparition digitally infecting your mind but should V choose to work with Johnny and Rogue, they’ll have a bit more help during the assault on Arasaka. Not everyone makes it out of the storming of the tower alive, but it’s a thrilling conclusion that opens up two choices for V.

Will they return to Night City as a legend or let Johnny Silverhand take over?

Commit Suicide

How to Unlock:

  • Available by default
  • During “Nocturne Op55N1,” choose:
    • “Could also just put all this to rest” à “[Toss Pills] I know exactly what we’re going to do”

Available Epilogues: N/A

Want to depress yourself after growing attached to V and Johnny over the past umpteen hours? Cyberpunk 2077 features a bleak ending that’s pretty easy to obtain. To see this conclusion, make it to “Nocturne Op55N1” and follow the above steps.

Neither V nor Johnny make it out of this scenario alive as it’s implied that V shoots themselves.

Secret Ending

How to Unlock:

  • Max out your friendship level with Johnny
  • While visiting Johnny’s grave during “Chippin’ In,” choose:
    • “The guy who saved my life” à “Nah, fucked that up, too” à “What do you want from me?” à “Ok. As far as second chances go, this is your last” à “You were a real dick in the beginning” à “When you said you let down your friends…” à “Smasher biz really got to her” à “Yeah. I’ll call Rogue”
  • During “Nocturne Op55N1,” make no choice (It takes about 5 minutes to trigger)
  • Complete “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” mission

Available Epilogues: Path of Glory or New Dawn Fades

This unique ending is sure to challenge players. “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” isn’t your average mission. It’s difficult, throwing wave after wave of enemies at you. If you’re confident in your Cyberpunk 2077 skills, it’s definitely a mission worth undertaking for one of the most exciting final battles of the game.
