The Definitive Guide to Building a Stealth Character in Cyberpunk 2077

The world of Night City is full of dangers. Shouldn’t one of them be you?

In Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll face off against an assortment of baddies, all looking to put a quick end to your day. The thing is, there’s so much to see and do in CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG that dying early on would be a huge bummer. So, why not stick to the shadows and avoid conflict as much as possible?

Though the game has no designated class system, the Attribute Points and Perks you can imbue your character with help define your playstyle. That means you can absolutely make a stealth assassin capable of taking down your enemies without detection.  Below, we’ve broken down the different attributes you should be spending points on and the Perks (or skills) you consider unlocking.

Building the Perfect Assassin

 To hide within the shadows, one must become one with the shadows. That means sinking more time and effort into the Cool Attribute and many perks tucked under the Stealth Perk tree. It also helps to have a few tech abilities and some scattered perks across the Body and Intelligence Attributes.

(Note: The number next to the Perk is the required Attribute level needed to unlock):

 Body Attribute Perks

• Athletics Skill Tree
  • Epimorphosis (7)
    • Health regenerates up to 70% of max health outside of combat (Up to 100%)
  • Soft on Your Feet (7)
    • Reduces fall damage by 5% (Up to 20%)
  • Steel and Chrome (9)
    • Increases melee damage by 10% (Up to 20%)

Tech Ability Attribute Perks

• Crafting Skill Tree
  • Innovation (9)
    • Consumables are 25% more effective (Up to 50%)
• Engineering Skill Tree
  • Mech Looter (3)
    • When looting drones, mechs and robots, there is a 75% chance of looting a weapon mod or attachment
  • Gun Whisperer (14)
    • Fully charged tech weapons do not shoot automatically

Intelligence Attribute Perks

• Breach Protocol Skill Tree
  • Big Sleep (3)
    • Unlocks the Big Sleep daemon, which disables all cameras in the network for 3 min (Up to 6 min)
  • Turret Shutdown (9)
    • Unlocks the Turret Shutdown daemon, which disables security turrets in the network for 3 min (Up to 6 min)
  • Buffer Optimization (20)
    • Increases the duration of daemon effects by 100%

Cool Attribute Perks

• Stealth Skill Tree
  • Crouching Tiger (3)
    • Increases movement speed while sneaking by 20%
  • Hidden Dragon (5)
    • Allows you to perform takedowns on unaware targets
  • Dagger Dealer (5)
    • Allows you to throw knives
  • Clean Work (11)
    • You can pick up an enemy’s body immediately after a takedown
  • Stunning Blows (11)
    • Quick melee attacks with ranged weapons stagger enemies, giving you an opportunity to grapple them
  • Ghost (12)
    • Detection time is increased by 20%
  • Commando (14)
    • You cannot be detected underwater
  • Restorative Shadows (16)
    • Health regen increases by 25% while in stealth
